MAINTENANCE OF THE ENVIRON® COSMETIC ROLL-CIT™

The ROLL-CIT™ is supplied with replenish able cleaning solution. The instrument can be cleaned with just water every time it is used and with the cleaning solution once a week.

TREATMENT

The treatment time can range from 5-20 minutes depending on the speed, accuracy and density.

The treatment should be repeated at home between two to seven times a week. The more frequent the treatment, the better the result. The instrument cannot be "over-used" as the needles will remain sharp for a prolonged time.

If the skin feels sensitive after a treatment, it should not be repeated until the skin feels comfortable. The tiny holes in the horny layer are sealed within a day.

THE PRODUCT

Environ® Medical ROLL-CIT™

• The Environ® Medical ROLL-CIT™ is a roller with needles for the natural induction of collagen.
• This must be used by professionals such as medical practitioners and trained surgical assistants.
• This product is intended to be used for surgical treatments.

How does Per cutaneous Collagen Induction work? Percutaneous induction of collagen results from the natural response to wounding the skin, even though the wound is miniscule. Each tiny wound goes through the three classic phases of wound healing:

1. Inflammation
2. Proliferation (tissue formation)
3. Tissue remodelling.

ADVANTAGES OF SKIN NEEDLING ARE:

• The first advantage is that this procedure does not permanently damage the skin. The skin actually becomes thicker.
• The healing phase is short and within five days the patients can go out into public.
• It is not painful in surgery due to the anaesthesia; there is also no post operative pain.
• It is not as expensive as laser resurfacing.
• Sun-sensitivity is a major and enduring problem in laser resurfacing, whereas after needling of the skin, the horny layer rapidly returns to its original thickness and the skin is not sun sensitive.
• A major advantage is that this needling can be done on people who have had laser resurfacing, or those with very thin skin.
• A very gratifying change occurs in dilated blood vessels, which may disappear.
• The other advantage is that this does not really have to be done by a plastic surgeon or dermatologist. The technique is easy to master because it does not require the artistic skills that are imperative in a tattoo artist.
